About Me

My love of cake decorating began with a desire to create amazing birthday cakes for my 3 inspirational children. They seemed to have extreme wishes from a very young age!

I've always loved baking and initially completed formal cake decorating courses just as a hobby. Before long though I had friends asking me to create cakes for them and it has gone on in leaps and bounds from there.

I make all the cakes and cupcakes from scratch with the best available  ingredients which means that they taste just as good as they look!

I do prefer to make the cakes out of mudcake (white, milk, dark) because they are guaranteed to be moist for days after the event or occasion. The cake is then lovingly smothered in yummy chocolate ganache before applying the final coloured fondant icing. 

Mudcake is also great to work with as it provides a solid base on which to add figurines and other embellishments!!

In relation to my cupcakes the requests have been mainly for the popular vanilla, chocolate mud or red velvet with either buttercream or cream cheese icing. Cupcakes can be left simple with just the icing or can have fondant decorations placed on top. If you'd like fondant decorations please allow me plenty of time to create and dry them (2 weeks notice would be very helpful for my scheduling)!
